After 9 years of running DDD Hungary on Meetup, I wanted to share an important update with you.

Our upcoming event with Alexander Thurow is still happening as planned, same date, same time but we are moving it to a new platform.

This change comes with a bigger decision: I’ll be discontinuing the DDD Hungary Meetup on meetup.com.

It hasn’t been an easy choice. Over the years, I’ve had many conversations with some of you about this, it kept coming up from time to time. But in the end, I always chose to continue, because I felt strongly about keeping this community going. Over the past 9 years, this community has brought together amazing people, meaningful conversations, and a shared passion for better software development. I’m genuinely grateful for all of you who’ve been part of this journey.

At the same time, meetup.com is no longer a sustainable platform for me to continue running this community.

That said... this is not the end.

I’d love to keep the spirit of DDD Hungary alive, and I’m currently exploring the best way to do that going forward.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in high-quality online sessions, fresh ideas, and continuous learning, I (again) highly recommend checking out Virtual DDD community.  It offers a growing set of great content from top-tier talks to facilitation stories, book clubs, and many other learning opportunities.
